Since I can remember, I have always had a passion for technology. I remember my days as a kid playing video games, and thinking, “One day I’d like to design my own game”. While I haven’t met that goal, my passion and drive for the information technology world remain the same. Not only do I enjoy IT as a career, I enjoy it as a hobby.
If I’m not spending time with my family, enjoying the great outdoors, or catching a football game, I enjoy learning and playing with technology. One of my hobbies is designing a home lab setup. So far, I’ve built and configured a home lab consisting of a Dell R720 Windows 2019 server with Hyper-V hosting a cluster of Linux VMs, an HPE ProLiant Gen 10 Micro server hosting Ubuntu Server 20.04 for web hosting and database, two GPU based crypto miners, a gaming PC, and multiple laptops and mobile devices running through a single router and switch configuration.
What do I use all of this for? For fun and to learn. I enjoy practicing my networking skills, Python programming, HTML coding, and spending time on penetration testing sites such as TryHackMe and Hack the Box. As you can see, I am a very motivated and passionate person when it comes to the IT world.
